LABSITA (Laboratorio di Sistemi Informativi Territoriali e Ambientali) is part of CAVEA Department, College of Architecture “Ludovico Quaroni”, Sapienza University of Rome.
The aim of LABSITA is performing research activities, studies and applications in the GI&GIS domain: IT, Remote Sensing, Image Processing, Modelling, Spatial Data Infrastructures, etc. The research activities are applied to analysis, planning, monitoring and management of urban areas, environment, territory and natural and cultural heritage.
LABSITA also performs educational activities for students of the College of Architecture and others colleges.
It is founder member of AGILE (Association of Geographic Information Laboratories in Europe), an European network of GI&GIS laboratories.
LABSITA is a partner of several European R&D projects and thematic networks.
